t D June 25,1930. Miss A. Louise Diederich, 1001 E. Nevada St., El Paso, Texas. My dear Miss Diederich: Thank you very much for your note of May 28th, expressing your sympathy for me in my recent illness, i.c., if one could call it an illness. I seemed perfectly well when I went into the hospital and made such an excellent recovery, going home in two weeks, consequently I could hardly feel that I had been ill. By this time you will have learned that I was not at the Convention, for I presume you as a member of the Board of Pirectors were there, not only because of this but in order to"root for Texits as the next place of meeting. I am very glad that we are going to San Antonio, although I am a bit dis- appointed because you are not coming to Washington as it will be George Washington Year and everything is being done to focus atten- tion upon the event. Naturally I am delighted with the outcome of the election, as I was a little worried about it. With best wishes, and thanking you for your kindly thought, I am as always Very sincerely yours, Chairman, National Committee, Red Cross Nursing Service. n.h
