Miss Harriette S. Douglas
4 Rue De Chavreuse
Paris, France
My dear Wise Douglas:
Your letter of February 6th reached me
& few days ago, and as there was so much of interest in it
to the various members of our staff I sent it to Mrs. Baker,
Miss Fox and Miss Butler to read. I knew that Are. Baker
would be particularly gratified with your observations on
the new "one Hygiene book. It has been exceedingly well
received and I believe it will fill the present needs much
better than the qld one.
We had received your letter acknow-
ledging the receipt of the cape and cans 80 everything is
all right. I am very glad, indeed, that you can use them
I do not expect to visit Parie within
the near future, but it eeemed to me that if by any chance
I did visit Europe, especially Paris, it would be very
nice to stay at the Women's University Club, and I thought
this might be poseible, inasmuch &8 I have what is known
as a "guest membership" in the club in Washington, paying
full dues, having all the privileges but no vote. However,
I should be glad if I went to Paris to stay in such a
congenial place.
Miss Olmsted is now in the United
States, and spent about ten days at Nati nal Headquarters
leaving last Wednesday. She will probably be here for
several months, and is returning in time for the Pan-
American Congress.
I hope the Baronese has reached
Paris by this time, I want you to know her, she is a very
charming woman and I believe it will be on excellent thing
for the League to have a woman of that type at the head of
their nursing service. I have an idea that the gentlemen
of that organization would hesitate, in the vernacular of
the day "to put anything over on her."
