My dear Miss Pouglas: It was very nice to receive your note from San Francisco, telling me that you had had such a pleasant visit with Miss Haig and others. I know that Miss White and Miss Spalding were as glad to see you as you were to see them. I hope you are enjoying San Francisco as much as I did the last time I WES there. California is & beautiful state, but II would much rather live in Washington. We are well, but busy and deeply emersed in the drought relief program.
