I wonder if you would be interested at all
in the Gold Star Mother Pilgrimage? The United States Govern-
ment is taking a great many mothers to Europe. I believe about
six thousand have signified their desire to go, and Miss Bulon
from the Purgeon General's Office is to be in Paris in charge
of the nursing work there. Instead of taking nurses over from
this country they are anxious to get in touch with nurses who
are already in France, or in any part of Europe who would be
interested in helping with the work. You may know of nurses who
are more or less free-lances who would be glad to help the
Government with this rather interesting piece of work. I am
giving your name, therefore, to the Purgeon General's Office,
consequently if you hear directly from them you will understand
the source from which they secured it. They will be able to tell
you more about the details, and if you are free perhaps you
would like to stay and help.
We are all well at Headquarters and everything
is moving along as well as one can expect in a great organization
such as this. with best wishes for a Happy New Year, and in
the meantime believe ne as
Very sincerely yours,
National Director, Nursing Service.
