Doyle February 6, 1942 Apt. to 1211 North 7th Street St. Loute, Nissouri ity desr Mina Doyle: We are please to inform you that your application for enrollment . in the Red Cross Nursing Service has been approved and to welcome you as a member of this service world wide in its significance and opportunity. Enclosed herewith are instructions and your appointment card and Badge No. 318 which are your credentials as a Red Cross nurse. Please acknowledge receipt of these credentials by RETURN MAIL on the enclosed postal card giving your badge number for verification. Read the enclosures carefully and observe all instructions. We are confident that you appreciate the great privilege of serving as an American Red Cross nurse and the obligation of always maintaining high standards of nursing. Because of the EMERGENCY NATURE of the work of the Red Cross Nursing Service, it is IMPERATIVE that you INFORM US AT ONCE of any condition which may affect your status such as CHANGE OF ADDRESS, MARITAL STATUS, or PHYSICAL CONDITION, and that you ANSWER IMMEDIATELY ALL COMMUNICATIONS from HEADQUARTERS, your LOCAL COMMITTEE or the ARMY or NAVY. Each year you will receive a questionnaire from the Red Cross Nursing Service. We urge you to FILL THIS IN and RETURN IT PROMPTLY to the address given on the questionnaire. Your failure to respond for two consecutive years places you in the inactive classification in the Red Cross Nursing Service.
