October 27, 1937 Mrs. John S. Crawford 1010 Trenton Avenue Wilkinsburg, Pa. My dear Mrs. Crawford: We are sorry to find that up to this time we have not heard from you in replys to our letter of April 10, requesting additional data regarding the death of your cousin, Miss Martha Ann Elliott, in order to complete her permanent records as a Red Cross nurse. We feel reasonably sure our letter reached you in- asmuch as it was never returned to us for better address and as the believe it has just slipped your attention, we are taking the liberty of writing you again. As previously explained, Miss Elliott's records will be retained on file permanently here at National Headquarters and we are, of course, anxious to have them as complete as possible. will you not be good enough to send us the full date, cause and place of death for our files. Also if you know the whereabouts of Miss Elliott's enroll- ment credentials as a Red Cross nurse - her appointment card and badge, number 17,090, we will greatly appreciate having them returned to this office for our files. Assuring you of our sympathy and hoping you will cooperate with us in completing Miss Elliott's Red Cross records, I am Sincerely yours, Ida F. Butler Director of Nursing SD
