My dear Miss Evans:
Enclosed you will find a list of questions subnitted to us by
various members of our nursing staff which we have answered to the
best of our ability.
Plans are progressing satisfactorily and we are anxious at this
time to make sure that everyone is ready. ile feel now that when we
have a definite date of sailing we will be able to give you 10 days!
notice, so you should make your plans concerning vacation, etc.,
accordingly.
If you wish to take money with you for personal expenses in
addition to the check submitted by the American Red Cross it seems
there is no restriction on the amount taken into Britain but not
more than 10 Pounds can be brought out.
You will be supplied with a white riding shirt which should be
kept for special occasions when a group may have to appear in uniform.
Sinderely yours,
Gertrude Madley,
Chief Nurse,
American Red Cross-
Harvard Hospital Unit.
