file us lw. folders re elig. for noth June 1, 1922 Miss Ina M. Gaskill, 221 State House, Indianapolis, Ind. Dear Miss Gaskill:- I took the privilege of discussing your enrollment in the N.O.P.H.N. with Miss Elizabeth Fox. Miss Fox has been very interested in your bahalf and has been carrying on some comunication with Miss Braithwaite, Eligibility Secretary of the N.O.P.H.N. Of course, you are aware of the fact that you are already an associate member. It seems that the difficulty is due to the fact that your training school had only 25 beds. I asked Miss Fox to get an expression from Miss Braithwaite as to what was necessary to qualify, and I will quote her as follows: "She needs general training. No Tbc. As this nurse had no subsequent training of any kind would suggest not less than four months in an A-1 general hospital. Would say six months but have taken into consider- ation the fact th t she graduated in 1906. It need not necessarily be a post graduate course but should be work under supervision in some good hospital". I regret exceedingly that there does not seem to be any way of pushing this further. I thought you would be interested in having this information, which, of course, is confidential as Miss Braithwaite does not know that I am sending it to you. I could not help but feel that you might be interested, however. I am disappointed that I could not get this through but the Eligibility Committee seems to be unmoved. Very sincerely yours, INH.av I.
