1761 O.K. FILING (Ina in Yas & Miss Lota Lorimer, Director of Nursing, July 21, 1919. Lake Division. Miss Fox, Bureau of Public Health Nursing. I am glad to know the you are securing someone as supervising nurse for Indiana. S Miss Gaskill was enrolled in 1911 there is very little on her enrollment blank to tell me about her experience. Won't you let me know just what her experience has been? As you say the fact that she is President of the State Board of Examiners and has been Chairman of the Red Cross State Association of Graduate Nurses (I wonder what you mean by that), it does seem that she must be familiar with the work in Indiana and well known to the nurses. I do. hope, however, that she has had enough public health nursing experience to be able to organize our work in the communities on a sound basis. Miss Waters writes me that she has just received a letter from Miss Lloyd, a Jefferson County Tuberculosis nurse. for Steubenville, Ohio, saying that the Red Cross employs a woman who is not a graduate and continuing to explain that the nurse had first been enga ed at the time of the influenza epidemic and has continued in the work ever since. Will you please lot me know whether this is so or not? Yours sincerely, FX/MM Acting Director
