My dear Miss Gilson:

We recently received your application for enrollment
in the American Red Cross Nursing Service, upon which you had
checked a preference for assignment with the Army Nurse Corps.
However, there was a note attached to your application saying
that you were especially interested in the Hawaiian Nursing
Service.
If you wish to be considered for service in Hawaii,
we will not certify you to the Army Nurse Corps. Therefore it
is necessary for us to lmow definitely where you wish to serve
before we can complete your enrollment.
May we hear from you at your earliest convenience.
