"Dear Miss Van Duzor: -
a
Your letter making inquiry about Miss Leila
Halverson
opinion, Supervising
be has very jus fortunate t been received. in and securing enthusiasm The her Red as Cross, with a State the would, gift in of my
nurse. She possesses energy
making friends everywhere.
She proved very valuable in Poland, and I re-
gret that her application to return to that needy country comes
ization of a Children's Ward (out of chaos) at the Refugee Station,
too late.
Her four months there were divided between the organ-
Warsaw, and the opening of a Typhus Hospital in one of the Provinces,
but she has a record of several years school nursing in N.D.
That she was Chairman of the State Committee at
the time she was doing pioneer school work, proves that she is earnest
and untiring.
I hope that you may be able to retain Miss Halversen
for Red Cross duty. Any additional experience in Public " Health work
you may consider necessary, could be readily gained.
