Miss Lelia Halverson,
Grand Forks,
N. D.
Dear Madam:
This is to confirm the arrangements which have
been made with you by the Bureau of Nursing Service which we
understand are as follows:-
Your salary is to be $60.00 per month dating from
date of sailing.
We are to allow you for your traveling expenes to
New York.
An allowance of $3.00 per day will be given to you while
in New York, this allowance, however, will only be extended to you
for three days prior to the proposed date of sailing.
We understand the question of allowance for your equip-
ment and uniform has been covered by your correspondence with the
Nurses' Bureau.
The Red Cross has arranged to pay your transportation
expenses from New York to Boikdeaux. Please refer to the enclosed
letter to the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique,
The Red Cross will bear the expenses incurred in ob-
taining your passport and visas.
Arrangements will be made to pay for your traveling
expenses while abroad.
If you will report to our New York Office, regarding
the expenses which you have incurred in this country, as per the
above outline, you will be reimbur sed for the full amount.
