C April 20, 1925. Mrs. Elsbeth Vaughan, Asst. I am also sending you a copy of Dr. Ircn's letter to us. Under the circumstances, it sould not seem wiee for Mies Hay to undertake any active work at the present time. Now comes the question of e subetitute. Mre. Baker ie working on this, and 1 think will have some good news for you within a few daye. It would be impossible, homever, to secure the kind of pereon that we want within a ehort time, se such people are not usually free. le are heping, however, to have scueone by the first of June or shortly thereafter. I am glad to hear that Nies Chapman is able to be back in the office, if only for a few daye each week. I hope you can send us come photographe of the disaster, 88 we have always had difficulty in getting good ones, and we are eorely in need of some which will show the nursing activities. I em glad you like the efficiency report that was submitted, and I hope it will work out satisfactorily. If it doee, I think we ehould adopt it for national use. With best wiehes to everyone, I am Very sincerely yours, Director, Nursing Service. n.k U J C 8 2
