I ay, I COPY DR. Ernest E. Irons 1441 Peoples Gas Bldg. Chicago, Ill. S April 9, 1925. + My dear Miss Noyes: + Miss Hay ie improving rapidly and ie beginning to eit up and I hope to see her able to be up and around in the course of the next week or two. The difficulty was & slight paresis of the face and muecles of speech without other paralysis. It came on rather sudienly and was due, I believe, to a slight vascular accident in the brain, probably a thrombosis. Miss Hay ie so well informed on medic-l matters that I have delayed talking things over with her very completely but it ie my feeling that it would be nuch wieer for her to rest for several monthe before attempting any seriou work. 1 believe you will appreciate the difficulty of saying exactly what will be the outcome as you know many cases of this sort improve and are able to be nt normal work for months or years. The blood preseure is not increased and the exemination other- wise shows nothing of serious note. There is in Mies Hay's family a history of cardio- vascular disease. I shall be glad to give you any further information I may have later. Very sincerely yours, ( agd) ERNEST E. IRONS U J C 8
