I do not know the character of your ear trouble, but I am sure that any discrder noimatter hom trifling with en organ so complex in te nature ie alweys most unplesemt. ile nove along in about the erne-ray at National Headquarters, but have been particularly buey this year on account of the warioue`diessters. There seen to have been an unusual number. Thie morning I read of sevore etorms in Neshville, and 1 em wondering whether we will go to the rescue of that community or not. I presume you hear from Mies Torrance and that she kcepe you informed in a measure 8.8 to the progrese of the &chool in Sofis. There are times when 1 feel very discouraged sbout it, a.e it seems alméet impoesible to educate the Red Croes and medécal group to the real meaning of the school and ite ultimate usefulness to the country. Mies Goff has donc excellent work in spite of gruet obstacles. Her etandards are very high, and I believe she ie making eome progrese. It was e great diseppointment, however, to be obliged to withdraw the students from the Children's Clinic at the Alexander Hospital, but here seemed no help for it. fter repeated efforts to secure the necescery equipment, linen, stc., in order to make it satiefactory SE far DE teaching purpores were concerned, there seemed nothing to do but to remove the students with the hopes that the authorities would ap reciate the difference and make it possible to re-establieb the affiliation. 1 em quits vell. This winter I have a young niece with me, who has added e greet deal to my pleasure. 2 20f 2
