My dear Miss Heath:

lie have your letter of February 1 to Miss
Marie H. Brunjes signifying interest in the American
Red Cross-Harvard Hospital Unit going to England. This
Unit is being formed in connection with the Harvard Nedical
Unit for the study of communicable diseases under wartime
conditions. The nurses who serve with this Unit are being
assigned by the American National Red Cross which is re-
sponsible for the nursing service of the hospital. Further
information about the Unit is gèven on the enclosed sheet.
We are selecting for staff duty approximately 50 nurses
who have had definite preparation in the nursing care of
communicable diseases. If you will rill in the enclosed
additional sheet, supplementary r eport of training and experience
giving in detail the extent of such training, and return it to us
as soon aspossible, we shall be able to give your cerdentials
further consideration for a possible appointent.
