MrS. Charlotte M. Heilman,
February 2,1927.
1112 Park St.,
Jacksonville, Fla.
My dear Mrs. Heilman:
Many thanks for your note and also
for your part in the lovely rlowers which reached me on
two separate occasions. They helped to cheer me up and
in a measure reconciled me to an unexpected illness. It
was a great disappointment to miss the Conference but as
usual "the best laid plans of mice and men etc-" The next
best thing, however, was the thoughtfulness of the Field
Representatives sending me so many flowers, notes, etce,
plus Miss Butler's graphic description of the meetings and
all that happened during that ten days.
I have had wonderful care making a good
recovery I believe from both pneumonia and lumbago which made
me miserable ror several weeks. I am sitting up today in my
living room and find it a good deal more comfortable to be
dressed than lounging around in a negligee.
Again thanking you and with best wishes,
I am as always
Sincseely yours
