Robinson,\nEi\n<\n334 Boston Post Road,\nWeston, Massachusetts\nse e a\nAIR MAIL -Special selvery\n=\n,\nMy dear Miss Robinson:\nM\na\nI am writing to offer you an appointment to the American\nRed Cross-Harvard Hospital Unit to be established in England:\nWe are very pleased that you are interested in the Unit and we\nP.T.\nfeel the nurses who take part have ahead of them an interesting\nundertaking and will be able to bring back to this country\nsomething that will be valuable to the are\nM\nplanning that your assignment would be as one of the Public Health\nNurses: Although since the establishment of the hospital is the\nfirst responsibility to be met, the Public Health Nursing program\nmay need to be worked out gradually. ALL appointmente would be with\nthe understanding that the nurse would serve on the hospital starf as\nneeded. The salary offered is $80 a month with all expenses for living,\ntravel and uniforms provided in addition.\nAs we explained in our interview in Boston, the exact date on\nwhich you would sail is not set but we expect it would be January 15 and\nwe shall keep you informed of any changes. You also will be given at a\nlater date information regarding insurance provision set up. by the Red Cross,\npersonal clothing and luggage. I am enclosing forms for your physical\nexamination which should be filled in and returned to us as soon as\npossible: Arrangement will then be made for your final physical examination\nby a physician appointed by Dr. Gordon.
