My dear Miss Holmes:
I certainly am sorry to learn that you have had
an infected finger and hope that it had not sertous consequences,
and that it is healing satisfactorily&
I am enclosing a check for fifty-three dollars
and seventy-sever cents ($53.77) to cover your expenses while at our
conference. I am certainly glad that you enjoyed it and am more than
glad that you were with us.
I think you probably have all the reading you can do
during begin your new work and have had time to size it up and decide your-
the holiday season and shall not try to suggest any more for until you
self what reading would be especially valuable.
