Francis, Director Penna Div.\nMarch 9, 1920\nDirector, Department of Nursing\nMarguerite Ko Jacobsen, 21314\nYour communication of March 6th enclosing copy of letter from Marguerite\nK. Jacobson, 21314, has been received, and we have communicated with Miss Minni-\ngerode as to whether or not Miss Jacobson can be accepted for service for a limited\nperiod. We have been advised that an appointment can, no doubt, be secured for\nMiss Jacobson, possibly at Ellis Island, and we shall be very glad to receive\nMiss Jacobsen's physical examination, so that her papers may be forwarded to the\nFederal Public Health service.\nIt will pro abiy be necessary, however, for MISS Jacobson to pay her\nown return transportation, at you will recall that the Federal Public Health Service\ndoes not pay return transportation for nurses who have served less than six months.\nIf, however, Miss Jacobsen is assigned near her home, it would not seem that this\nwould be a great inconvenience to her. May I 'hope to hear further from you regaring\nthis nurse.\nB/F"
