Detroit, Mich.
My dear Miss Jahrua:
As we have had definite information from Miss Ahrens of
the Central Division recentlythhat your papers would be for-
warded to this office in a short time, without which if
would not be possible to make request for your unanpostation
feel that it would be better for you to wait a little longer
for a definite assignment to one of the Red Cross Units.
We realize that you have waited a long long time for
this assi gament, but there are certain papera which 10 is es-
sential that we should have on file here before we could
make request for a reservarion or a definite assignment and
without which you could not secure your passport. It is the
securing of these papers which has held up your appointment
but we hope to have them within a short time/Unress you par-
ticularly desire an assignment with a. Training School Unit
will hold your name on file for a short time longer.
Regretting that you have had to wait so long and appre-
cisting your interest in the Red Cross, I am,
