Memorandum for Miss Noyes

Miss Rubie L. Cameron, Secretary of our Worcester, Massachusetts
Local Committee, has just advised us of the death of Miss Lucia L.
Jaquith, for years Chairman of that Committee, on May 9, 1931, of
cancer of the bones.
Miss Jaquith has served on our Worcester, Massachusetts Local Com-
mittee sincel914. While the old cards do not show the exact date
of her appointment, the records indicate that she was serving on
July 10, 1914. Miss Jaquith remained on the Committee continually
from that time until her death, serving as Chairman from 1916, as
near as we can tell.
Miss Jaquith also served as a member of our Massachusetts State
Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service from August 12, 1918 until
July 1929.
