Jokaitis,\n1800 Connectigut St.,\nGary,\nInd.\nMy dear Mrs. Joknitis:\nReplying to your letter of August 9, I are very glad to answer the questions\nwhich you have asked.\nYou are certainly to consider the arrangement as final regarding your\nappointment as one of Miss Bridge's assistants in her Training School at Warsay\nand may safely send in your resignation so that you will be available not later\nthan November 15.\nIt will be impossible for me to advise you regarding the disposal of your\nfurniture as this is a personal matter and you yourself know best what to do.\nBayond the fact of your appointment to the Training School at Warsaw, it\nwould be impossible for us to give you in more detail what your duties will be.\nI should prepare myself for all phases of Training School work. The term of\nservice is also rather indefinite - murses going over for Training School assign\nments generally stay aomewhat longer than those going over for other work.\nRequest for release before the termination of the period of work can only be\nconsidered for serious reasons, such as 111 health.\nYour salary will be $100\na month.\nNurses will wear the uniform of the American Red Crose Nursing Service, to\nbe supplied by our New York office. As you state that your Norfolk suit is\nstill in good condition and you do not need another, will you please check it\noff on the enclosed equipment card? Please forward this card promptly to Mrs.\nMaud G. Moody, Manager, Bureau of Nursest Equipment, 44 E. 23d St., New York City\nwho will have your equipment in readiness for you when you report in New York.\nIn addition to the equipment furnished by the Red Cross it will be necessary for\nyou to provide yourself with a safety bag in which you should carry your passport\nat all times, also money, Red Cross identification card, and other important\npapers. In no case should this bag be left in your suit CASS or trunk to be\nchecked.\nIn order that the Red Cross may arrange all the necessary details regarding\nyour sailing, we are sending you the necessary blanks to fill out:\n1. Service application form #200\n2. Physical examination\n3. Immunity blanks\n4. ARC 702 regarding equipment."
