    "ocrText": "June 16, 1921.\nMiss Josephine S. Jokaitis,\n1800 Connecticutt St.,\nGary, Indiana,\nMy dear Miss Jokaitis:\nIt was with great diaappointment that I\nread your letter of the 14th. A cable was received this morning\nasking us to engage you. There are so few nurses who meet the\nrequirements for work in Poland, especially in connection with the\norganization of the School, that I do hope that there may be some\npossibility of a reconsideration on your part.\nCan you not present to them the unusual\naspects of the work in Poland, and how very much we wish to help\nthem develop a modern system of nursing, in order that they may\nhave a nursing personnel of their own? I am sure you understand\nhow difficult it is for us to find a nurse who meets the qualifica-\ntions, and at the sametime speaks the Polish language.\nIf\nit\nis possible to reconsider and make readjustments that will enable\nyou to go I should be very glad.
