Miss Kerr. 2 - In the Delano Recruiting Week which has been started under my auspices throughout the United States, we have been celebrating March 12th. Ae her nearest friend, and with perhaps a better perspective on the situation than I have, do you not think it might be well to publish through the pages of the Courier, the American Journal of Nursing and other public tions, a paragraph giving the correct information on these various points. You will be eurprised how frequently we receive letters asking for information. High school and college girls writing essays as wells as others are constantly using the history. I shall be very glad, indeed, to have your advice on this matter. We could, of course, make the changes in the History when it ie revised and let the situation go SB it is at present, but I do think it is unfortunate to be celebrating the 12th of March as her birthday instead of the 26th. ise Devins informs me that she wrote to nurses had voted for the monument instead of the room. They you after the Biennial Convention, telling you that the have, however, voted for 8 column on the front of the Worlds Bar Memorial, so that we really two, As far as the location of the monument is concerned, I feel quite certain that we will be able to erect it in the court which will be formed by the three marble buildings at National Headquarters. Just what form the Memorial will take, whether it will be a beautiful fountain with appropriate designs and inecription, or whether it will be some beautiful figure symbolic of nure- ing, I do not know, but the Committee I am sure will work hard to secure something that will be acceptable to the nurses of this country. It cannot be erected, however, until the Worlds far Memorial and the propoaed office building are completed. The latte r will unquestionably be started within a short time, and will compare architectually with the Civil and Worlds War Memorial. I do not know how you feel about it, but personally I feel that the effort - even if it has cost me several of my friende - to have the situation thoroughly understood by the nurees of this country W8.8 north the secrifice. I see Miss Nevins very frequently. It has been & very warm summer, almoet no intermission of extreme heat from the first of July until last Saturday. Consequently she and I have enjoyed my automobile for we have gone out almost every vening together, as it has been
