2 5. After having served for a period of one year B is entitled to receive from ARC transmortation to his(or her)home town with the following conditions: A. Transnortation from Vladivostok to ant port 'of the U.S.A.designated by ARC, by Army Transport, to be arranged by ARC, but if for any reason such Army Transport facilities cannot be obtained, the ARC may arrange for B's passage on any regular passenger steamer. B. The standard charge for board made by the Transport, viz $1.00 per day, to be paid by ARC. C. Railway fare from nort of landing to home, and maintenance for the number of days required to make this journey, will be paid by the Division Headquarters, American Red Cross, at the port of debarkation. They shall be governed in this by instructions issued by National Headquarters with regard to allowance for maintenance in the United States. 6. If B does not perform his(or her) duties in a manner satisfactory to ARC, it has the right to terminate this agreement forthwith, but in this instance it shall still be liable for payment of transportation, but shall be liable only for that portion of clothing allowance already credited to B,and B shall refund all sums naid to himfor her) or the value of equipment issued in excess of this amount. Such instance of desire to terminate contract shall be served by ARC one calendar month before ARC desires it to go into effect, reserving to itself the alternative of immediate discharge by payment of one month's salary in lieu of notice. 7. Should B be guilty of conduct which is decided by a court of his ( or her) superior officers to be unbecoming to that of an officer of the ARC, ARC shall have the nower to discharge him( or her) immediately. In the case of such dishonorable discharge the ARC agrees to pay to B salary to date of discharge, and transportation to his(or her) home. ARC shall be liable only for that ortion of the clothing allowance allready credited to B, and B snill refund all sums paid to him(or her) or the value of equipment him( or her) in the excess of this amount. E. B engages on his(or her) departure from ARC, except in all eased of honorable discharge, to return to ARC all ARC insignia letters 0.7 indentification, together with any other letters or documents troving having been connected with the ARC.
