1011 Third St.,
Marietta, Ohio.
My dear Miss Kidd:
This is to notify you that you are to
proceed now to apply for a passport for service in Japan,
China, Russia and Siberia, and this letter will serve as your
authorization.
Please follow the directions in the pre-
liminary information already sent you, but do not start for
San Francisco until you receive specific instructions to do so.
You should at once make your application for
passport to the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, Marietta,
within whose jurisdiction your witness resides.
By order of the State Department you are to
instruct the Clerk of the Court to promptly forward your
passport application to the Bureau of Foreign Personnel, American
Red Cross, Washington, D. C., and see that there is attached to
the application when so forwarded one dollar in cash, one signed
photograph, one unsigned photograph, one male relative affidavit
and one birth certificate or affidavit of birth.
