Miss Sophia Kiel,
U.S. Steamship George Washington,
Foreign Station Annex,
Post Office, New York City.
My dear Miss Kiel :
I was delighted to read in a recent
clipping, sent to this office, of your decoration of
the Medal of Queen Elizabeth, given to you by the
Queen, hereself.
I was also glad to hear that the
Queen had given a special dinner in your honor. It is
a glorious tribute, I think, to nurses and I should be
glad of a fuller account of the affair, in order that
we might use it in our Bulletin. If the other nurses
on board the steamer received decoration, will you not
let us know about it?
with best wishes and again congratulat-
ing you, I am
Very sincerely yours,
Director, Department of Nursing.
