My dear Miss Kloman,
Your telegram has been received, and I hardly know
whether to send your papers to the Surgeon General's Office for
immediate cantonment hospital service or not. If you very much
desire to postpone your date of assignment temporarily, we will

be able to grant this request, as until the nurses who are temporar-
ily assigned to cantonment hospital service, are called to oversea
duty, the need is not quite so acute. It will be possible, I
feel sure, to postpone your assignment to July lst.
I will, however, ask you to write me further concern-
ing the exact date upon which we can call upon you for service,
and an address for transportation orders.
