Extract from Isabel M. Stewart, September 25, 1917.
In reply to your letter of September 12 regarding the students who were with us
this summer at Teachers College, I can say that they were all very much interested
and I considered them earnest, hard-working women. They all found the work some-
difficult- at least, they were able to make only average grades.
Miss Agnes P. Kloman seems an energetic and rather progressive sort
RY
of a woman, a great talker, but pretty intelligent, on the whole, in her work.
Miss Bertha Winne is quiet but earnest and sincere, and did good work
here.
Mrs. Minnie A. Rudasill, I felt was rather a superioywoman, but a little
handicapped in her class work.
miss Rehe
The other three, Miss Madge Pierce, and Miss Jessie West, were in Miss
Johnson's class. Miss Johnson considers that they did good hard work this summer,
were willing and eager, and Miss West particularly a bright, intelligent girl.
The College does not give out the class records, but I think you can
be quite satisfied that all of thesed did good work. The time is very short,
of course, for really knowing them all well, but we enjoyed having them and hope
that th ey will come again at some future time.
