KLOMAN, Agnes P.
After receiving your second memorendum regarding Miss Agnes P. Klomen,
dated Harch 11, 1948, we have made further inquiry but are able to get no
additionel information beyond thet which we sent you on March 5.
There is no provision whereby Mise Kloman can receive dissbility
benefits from the American Red Cross because of her sorvices in World war I.
As I mentioned in my previous memorandum, there is a possibility that Miss
Klomm mey be eligible for assistance from the John Barton Payne Fund. Be-
fore we cen get e ruling on her eligibility, however, it will be necessary for
us to have a brief prepared in which information is given on e esse work basis.
We note in the memorsndum from Mrs. Rogera to you that the chapter worker con-
cerned has stated that the community considers Misa Kloman to be in desperate
circumstences. It will be necessary for us to know her budgetary expenses,
her income, and the extent to which her femily is able to sesist. If you will
follow the regular outline set up for presenting Clain's Cases, as we suggested
in our previous menorandum, I believe ve will have all of the necessary material.
Misa Klomen's leteat address, as recorded by Bursing Service, is 600
Edgewater Rond, Roland Park, Maryland. This address was given in 1942 and she
was living with her brother, Dr. E. H. Klomen, at that time. We would like to
know where Miss Kloman is living now. From your memoranda ve infer that ahe
must be living in Fauquier County, Virginia.
Sinee the chapter is already interested in her ease, and since Miss
Kloman was formerly an employee of the Fauquier Chapter, it would seem thet
there would be little difficulty in baving a brief prepared there and forvarded
to the area.
case for approval by the proper authorities.
