Re: Dorothea L. Koehn
My dear Mr. Loehning:
Receipt is acknowledged of your letter of March 27, 1942, to
Miss Mary Beard relative to Miss Dorothea L. Koehn.
In your letter you request information as to whether or not the
Steanship Vigrid, upon which Miss Koehn was a passenger at the time this
vessel was torpedoed was a steam vessel licensed for the regular trans-
portation of passengers.
I regret to say that we do not have this information, but we
believe that if you will address your inquiry to the British Ministry
of War Transport, 25 Broadway, New York City, advising them of the
purpose for which you need this information, that they may either be
able to give it to you or to advise you where your inquiry should be
sent.
Very truly yours,
F. J. Mulhall
Supervisor of Insurance
