March 26, 1919. Miss Alice E. Lake, Children's Hospital, Denver, Colo. My dear Miss Lake: I was under the impression that we had sent you a com- munication asking if you were available as one of our Chautauqua speakers. The enclosed circular will describe the plan, so that I will not make any attempt to give you more detailed information. I am wondering if your hospital would be willing to give you a three months' leave for the purpose. We shall need a large number of overseas nurses by the middle of May for this work. If you yourself are not available, can you think of any nurses who meet the requirements and who would be available. Thanking you, believe me Very truly yours, CDN/REG Acting Director, Department of Nursing. Enclosure 1.
