Children's Hospital,
Denver, Colo.
My dear Miss Lake:
We should be very glad, indeed, to
consider you for work in France with the Children's
Bureau for a year.
You will hear again from us within
a few days and full information will be sent you con-
cerning the various steps that you should take in order
to prepare yourself for this service.
May I ask you when you will be ready?
In the meantime we will send your name in for investigation
as it takes about two months for this purpose. Possibly
you do not know that every nurse going abroad under the
auspices of the Red Cross must have an investigation for
her loyalty which is conducted through the War Department.
