Yonkers General Hospital
Yonkers, New York
My dear Miss Latus:
/°
How that some of your credentials have been returned we are in
a position to definitely consider your application for civilian nursing
service in Hawaii. Your appointment depends, of course, upon your pre-
sent physical fitness for foreign service. Therefore, I am referring
you to Dr. Edward B. Self, 180 Ft. ashington Ave., New York, N.L., for
this physical examination. We are also communicating WJ th Dr. Self advis-
ing him that you will report within & short time. will you please, there-
fore, take the responsibility of getting in touch with Dr. Self, upon
receipt of this letter, to make an appointment. Dr. Self has been advised
that the American Red Cross will issume whatever expense is involved for
the examination. Your teeth should be in good condition so that you
will not be in need of any immediate dental work.
AS soon as the report of your physical exemination has been
returned to this office we will advise you of the decision of our Red
Cross medical examiner concerning your physical fitness for service.
Sincerely yours,
(Mrs.) Ernestine B. Amick
Assistant to Director
Nursing Service
