My dear Miss Laxton:
On October 29th, we sent you a Red Cross
nurse's cape which we trust has reached you safely. Kindly
fill in the enclosed card and return it to this office at
your earliest convenience.
We have endeavored to issue you the cape in
good condition. We must call to your attention that it is at
all times the property of the American Red Cross, and you are
usage. It is not transferable and under no circumstances must
requested to guard it carefully and protect it against improper
it be loaned.
If you wear the cape for some months, when you are
released from service we hope that you will have it cleaned,
repaired and returned to this office in good condition. We shall
greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
