Inf form - 11/19/39 Com file Letter in My dear Miss Petry: It gives us pleasure to send you this official letter of appointment as a member of the Minnesota State Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service for the coming year, as recommended by the Minnesota State Nurses' Association. For your information, we are enclosing a copy of the pamphlet, ARC 710, which outlines the purpose nd functions of the Committees. No doubt you will be especially interested in the paragraphs on pages 5 and 6 which refer to the State Committees. The present officers of the Minnesota State Committee are: Miss Leah Mathilda Keable Chairman, State Committee Red Cross Nursing Service Room 115, Court House Duluth, Minnesota Mrs. Elsbeth H. Vaughan Secretary, State Committee Red Cross Nursing Service 1722 Dunedin Avenue Duluth, Minnesota In our effort to secure an additional 10,000 nurses needed for the first reserve, we shall have to depend upon each and every member of the State end Local Committees to grasp every opportunity for interesting young nurses. Please share with us your suggestions for increasing enrollment.
