CONTROL OF 1900 HAWAY NO. TERRITORIAL OFFICE OF CIVILIAN DEFENSE HONOLULU, T. H. WAHIAWA EMERGENCY HOSPITAL WAHIAWA, OAHU. T IN B REPLY REFER TO: November 18, 1943 To: Miss Margery MacLachlan, Nursing supervisor and consultant. From: Wahiawa Emergency Hospital Wahiawa, Oahu. T.H. Re: Proficiency Record for Miss Genevieve Lepreste Date of arrival: March 28, 1942 Date of Departure: July 26, 1943 Returned to Sacred Heart. Number of sick days: 31 Infected finger Upper respiratory Infection and 4 suspended days. Personality: My contact with Miss Lepreste was a very short one - but in that time I noted that she had a difficult and unfortunate personality. She did things at the spur of the moment and re- gretted them later on. Qualifications: My contact with this nurse was after she had had two very un- fortunate experiences. She was nervous, high strung and at that time not capable of doing any kind of work. I do not think she was in good health (Her friends said that she had failed consid- erably) and in view of the fact that she was a former Tuberculo- 6 sis patient, it was not advisable to keep her on in such a worried state. (No health record on this nurse . Very truly yours, Thearis Chicago R.N. Stefanie Schlesinger, R.N. Chief Nurss
