M ac Jenuary 3, 1942 file H a Miss Ida Mildred MacDonald 301 a 815 s. E. Essex Minnespolis, Minnesote Mi ild. - My dear Miss MacDoneld: Miss Olivia Peterson has told me that you are anxious to reapply for enrollment in the Red Gross Nursing Service. Unfortunately the ap- plication which was filed in 1933 has been destroyed as we keep them only two years in case of rejection. As you were rejected on the grounds of defective vision I feel sure we would be able to give your application favorable consideration at this time. I do not know whether you are still eligible for the First Reserve or not, but in any event Tre shall be very glad to receive an application from you and will place you in whichever reserve you may qualify for. If you will fill in the enclosed papera and send then to Miss Edna Louise Schrupp, Secretary, Local Committee, Red Cross Nursing Service, 440, Sexton Building, Minneapolis, Minnesota, she will obtain the necessary credentials and forward them on to us for final action. It is no longer necessary to have a complete physical examination. Ig you will merely answer the first 8 questions on the physical blank and give us a statement on the reverse side a.s to your present physical condition, specifying any disabilities which you may have, that will be quite sufficient. With appreciation of your interest and with best wishes for 1942, I am Sincerely yours, I Gertrude S. Banfield Asst. Director, Nursing Service is GSB/mb 5 a W
