    "ocrText": "Alien.R.M.Calla\nCONTRACT MADE THIS\nfirst\nday of June i 1919\ntween the Sib rian Commission of the AMERICAN RED CROSS, here-\ninafter designated as ARC and alic hereinafter\ndesigned d as B.\nI. I arris to enter the service of ARC for a inium neriod of 01\none ye Y from may16.1919. provided, however, that if by change\nof policy ARC find it necessary to restrict their staff they can 21\ndispense with B's services at any time within the period of one year,\nby arranging for B's return to is(orher) home town, U.S provided for\nin claus six, without claims for breach of contract.\n2. After eleven months from May 16.1919 , B may terminate\n( or her( service by serving written notice one month prior to desired\ndate of departure from the noint at which ne( or she) is then serving.\n3. B agrees to serve ARC to the best of his(os her)ability,\nrecognizing that because it is a benevolent association, he( or she)\ncan be called unon to serve in any capacity in which , in the oninion\nof ARC,\n( or she) is best suited.\n4.\nDuring the period of this contract ARC will may the monthly\nsalary of\n70.\npayable in W.S.\ncurrency\nat\nARC ; will provid B with board and lodging, by\ni\nif for any reason they are unable to do so they shall pay to B the\nfurther allowance of $4500 gold or the equivalent in roubles, in\nlieu thereof, and B agrees to accept such a sum in full and complete\nsettlement for the non-supply of board and lodging\n5. ARC will provide B with equipment not exceèding the cost of\n$25000 Gold. B to make ( or her) own purchases of materials\nwhich must be in accordance with the standard requirements laid down\nby ARC for thetuniforms to be worn by its staff. Renayments of these\nsums will be made only unon inresentation of vouchers showing that\nthe material has been received and is in accordance with ARC\nrequirements. It is furthermore agreed that if for any reason\nwhatsoever B's services with ARC are terminated before nov 1619.19\nexcept by reason of a general reduction of ARC staff B shel\nto them all moneys which re(or she) shall have received for hi\n( or her) equipment but in this case the equipment will remain his\n( or her) property . It is also. agreed that in such a case ARC may\nreimburse themselves for clothing advances made to B deducting the\ntotal of such advances from any sums due to B on account of salary\nor expences."
