Extract from letter to Miss Beard from Miss MacLachlan - June 23, 1943
Mrs. Alice Mejack has been ill again and her physician advises that she resign and
return to a more suitable climate.
Miss Sally Catlet was an ommision in copy. She is still at Wilcox Hospital on Kauai.
Genevieve LePrester's omission was explained in former letters. I will have to go to
Wahiawa and take a good look at her so I wont forget who she is.
Mary Blackman Pinney resigned and left in May.
Both Mary Daven and Marian McNamara arrived in Hawaii May 3lst.
I called Queen' Hospital concerning Aleise Killingworth. The following confidential
information was given me. Miss Killingworth did not get along well with her associ-
ates and had a disgruntaled attitude during her stay. She had agreed to remain for
one year but gave notice with no reasons for her dissatisfaction. I do not know
whether or not Miss Killingworth was justified in being discontented at Queen's.
Perhaps her other references could give an idea of whether or not she is habitually
a dissatisfied person. Our girls have to live so closely and are called upon to do
so many things that it is very difficult to have such a person in the group. They
have had reasons for dissatisfaction, but they have been such good sports that I hate
to deliberately add more difficulties if it can be helpted.
