We do appreciate your letter of January 18th,
telling us of your willingness to serve in the present
emergency and do appreciate, too, how you feel about
being slightly over the age limit of the nurses accepted
by the Army fór active service. The fine spirit of people
like you is a real help to those of us who have the respon-
sibility for recruiting nurses.
At the present time the Red Cross has no extensive
plans calling nurses for Red Cross service. In the coming
months of First Reserve nurses between the ages of
