M el Z or a December 7, 1928. F T Mise Nora F. Molton, 2018 First Street, N."., a Wshington, D. c. 5 My dear Miss felton: I had hoped that by this time I would have come favorable news to give you. Your case hae been under con- sideration for tometime. It has been difficult, however, to get the Claime Committee, which ae I told you in a previque letter has been ecattered, together for finel consideration. Testerday we discuseed st considerable length your particular case. The Claims Committee is most sympathetic, but the difficulty lies in the fact that the terms of the ineurance require that all claime should be submitted within one year after diecharge from service, and thie of course has not been done in your particular caee. Consequently, it will probably mesn that the Central Committee mould be reguired to atudy the si tuation not only in view of your particular case, but in many others, for there were 12,000 people who eerved under the Red Crose, which might present at 5 late claims date. For example - & pezeoni breaking down et the present time, and there have been several already, might trace quite logically their present breakdown to some illnese which was experienced at the time of their employment with the Red Cross. I mention this in order to show you the complication I must, therefore, ask you to have patience for a bit longer until thie matter can be brought before the Central Committee, at shich time either the old policy will be maintained, or a new policy adopted. I sm a.s. always Sincerely yours, N.H National Director, Nureing Service.
