My dear Miss Meseroll:
We are enclosing a check for three hundred dollars ($300.00)
to cover your expenses for travel and maintenance. Please note the
enclosed instructions concerning funds for traveling expenses very
carefully. It is necessary to keep all receipts, stubs, etc., while
traveling as well as a detailed record of daily expensese These are
to be submitted to the Office of Civilien Defense in Hawaii in order
to obtain the travel reimbursement from that office.
Enclosed please find the following:
1. Advance check for $300.00
2. Instructions - Re: Funds for travel
3. Reirbursement agreements (2)
4. Record of travelers checks
We shall expect you to arrange to arrive in San Francisco by
March 20, 1943, unless we hear from you to the contrary. Please report
to the Hotel Whitcomb there.
We shall want to keep in close touch with you from now on, so
please keep us informed of any current change of address or telephone
number. If you have any problems which are not answered in the printed
enclosures, feel free to write us at any time. Be sure to ses that all
forms which are to be returned to this office are in the mail before
you leave the Mainland.
