Miss Gertrude E. Mill,
C.O Mr. Armin E. Mill,
45 W. Howard Street,
Pasadena, California.
My dear Miss Mill:
In order for nurses to retain their active status in the Red
Cross Nursing Service it is essential that we hear from them at leaat
once a year so we will know where to locate them in case of necessity.
As we have had no word from you for more than a year, your
records should be transferred to the inactive files. We hesitate to
take this action, however, as you may be available to your local Red
Cross chapter for some type of service. You perhaps did not realize
the great importance of keeping us informed of your address and pro-
fessional activities so we might be able to call on you if necessary.
Please bring your records up to date promptly by filling in
and returning the enclosed questionnaire. This will enable you to re-
tain your active status, which will mean a great deal to your nurse
recruitment committee as well as to yourself, If we do not hear from
you within 30 days, we shall have to assume that you no longer wish to
stand ready for the service for which you became a Red Cross nurse.
We shall hope to hear from you promptly.
Sincerely yours,
Virginia Dunbar
