Miss Gertrude E. Mill,
795 Cass Ave.,
Detroit, Michigan.
syded Miss Mill:
Your letter of May 19th has been
received, enclosing enoopy of one which you sent to the Division
of Transportation, also your note to Mrs. Vaughan.
I note that you have returned your
equipment card and measurement slip to the Pureau of Equipment in
New York, also that you have started your Immunity treatments.
are
Most of the nurses of the Siberian
group/being sent by way of Pan Franciscotamal those, however, belong-
ing to the Northern and Northwestern Divisions are sailing by way of
Seattle. The nurses of the Central Divisions have up to this time
been sent by way of San Francisco; however, we have taken the matter
concerning your sailing and find that it can be arranged for you to
sail from Seattle.
I presume from your letter that you
made application for passport on May 19th. The next sailing from
Seattle is on June 2nd. As your passport application has not yet been
received, and your loyalty papers are still pending in the Bureau of
Personnel, I cannot promise that you can get off on that date, although
we will make the attempt. Please see that your apolication for pass-
port is forwarded as promptly as possible. We will try to arrange for
your equipment to be forwarded to Seattle at once. We are also writing
to Miss Ahrens and will ask you to keep in close touch with her as to
your address or any change of address which you may make, as orders to
report in Seattle will first be received in the Central Division office
and forwarded to you from there.
with best wishes, believe me as
Very sincerely,
Acting Directory Department of Nursing.
