During the Influenza Epidemic Miss
Minnigerode organized the Nursing
Personnel of special emergency
hospitals organized under the aus-
pices of the U. S. P. H. S., local
Boards of Health and with the co-
operation of the American Red Cross.
Immediately following this Miss
Minnigerode was recommended by the
Red Cross to make a tour of the
hospitals of the U. S. P. H. S. in
order to study the nursing conditions
Because of the satisfactory character
of her work in this connection she
was appointed by that
