Honorable C. Powell Minnigerode,
1737 Q Street, N.W.,
Washington,
D.C.
My dear Mr. Minnigerode:
News of the death of your sister, Miss Lucy C.
Minnigerode, has just come to me. Miss Minnigerode's
unique service in the Red Cross during the war and her
continued interest in and cooperation with our Nursing
Service since, make her loss a great one to our organization.
Her position of leadership in the general field of nursing
was so outstanding that the impress of her work will be
enduring.
May I extend to you and to your family, personally
and on behalf of her many friends and acquaintances here,
our deepest sympathy with you in your bereavement.
Very sincerely yours,
James L. Fieser,
Vice Chairman.
