This being 80 contrary\nto my real feeling in the matter, I have made an attempt\nto trace, if I could, the basis from which you reached\nthis conclusion. I have been told that I used the verd\n\"fissco\" in connection with the award of medals two years\nago. I do not remember doing this, but if I did I used\nit in only a general sense. 1 am curry you did not ack\nme at the time what I had in mind.\nMy feeling ie, that if 8 name ia\npr posed even if all the members of the email committee de\nnot vote for that individual that we should submit all the\nnames to the National Committee, unless there is unanimous\nobjection, 58 we have this year. This I felt W&E not\nquite fair to Misu Fitzgerald. It also seemed unfortunate\nto put her second when my name was presented two years\nbefore. Incamuch 8.8 she had twice been the victim of S.\ncombination of rather unusual circumstances I felt that\nher name should gig be submitted to & vote.
