July 1, 1925. Miss Lucy Minnigerode, U. S. MaFine Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia. My dear #iss Minnigerodes Ag I have not heard from you for such a long time, I am writing just a word before leaving the office, tomorrow night. It has just been called to my attention that my letter of June sixth, congratulating you upon receiving the award of the Florence Nightingale Medal was addressed to the Marine Hospital at Newport News, so that I am enclosing a copy herewith. However, it is just possible that this did not reach you, but as it has not been returned I am hoping that you did. I have heard from you indirectly from others, and it has seemed as if some of the reporte were 8. bit more favor- able. They are giving a party tonight to Miss Parkhurst, prior to sailing. Evidently my stock is low with the "Nitwits", 88 1 too am sailing, but got no party. I am sorry that I will not be able to go, however, S.S I am leaving tomorrow and am submerged with work incident to packing, arranging my apartment, etc. Miss Butler will probably move up, and it will be a great relief to me to have her there. I hope this finds you much better, and with love, I am 88 always Affectionately yours, n.k Director, Nursing Service. sight
